The Harsh Truth About Your Emails

Everyone’s inbox is overflowing. Nobody is keen to receive more email.

You should be honored that people have opted into your list and are happy to receive your messages. Each subscriber has given you a hard-earned vote of confidence.

Be careful. Never take anyone’s attention for granted. Because everyone’s time is precious!

An Email Should Always Have Unique Content

Emails must contain meaningful info. After all, you are taking up subscribers’ time with another email. Every message must point to something important: an action that needs taking, new information they need and added value to their lives.

Week in week out, you have to prove your value to your email subscribers. Know your readers well. Empathize with their struggles. Ask questions and offer help!

Personalize Your Emails

Whenever possible, use recipients’ names. No one wants to read another impersonal email that is addressed “Dear Sir/Madam”. If you do not have names, avoid overly generic greetings.

Responsive Design

Make sure your email is legible in mobile view. Nothing is more frustrating then having to put off reading an email until you are at a computer. Admail’s Responsive Email Builder allows you to preview your email in mobile. Check out our video tutorial here.

When you’ve earned their confidence and trust, you’ve earned the ability to push send and grow your business.
