List Builder and Admail’s Database Target Filters

Many Admail.net customers have special data fields that help them target their customers within their database. To help customers who don’t have the time or financial resources for custom API development, Admail offers Target Filters, a tool specifically designed to query and distribute information to specific customers.

The target filters’ primary purpose is to let you the Admail customer drill down to a specific group. At the same time, Admail’s Target Filters let you have limitless elements to select from within your database.

As an example of their use if your business is licensed to sell or service a product in a certain state, Admail’s Target Filters let you select single or multiple states, creating a custom query. Once created a Target Filter lets you the user select the filter on the fly when setting up an email campaign.

How do Target Filters work with Admail’s List Builder database?
Our hosted data solution offers standard fields including name, address, zip code, phone, plus up to 20 additional Custom Fields. This function is designed for flat file upload and storage. Once the data is installed all of these fields are accessible through the Target Filter tool, expanding segmentation and selection options well beyond our standard Interest Groups. Say you are selling shoes and you know your customer’s shoe size, with target filters make your size selection and you are ready to go. The criteria is endless if you need to do data pulls by style number, model number, source codes, and much more.

Target Filters are not for everyone they do require some expertise in data management and standardization.

Coming up with a game plan Admail.net, a List Media company, has over 30 years of direct marketing and data management experience. Contact us with your specifics and we will help you develop a program that works. Because most customers utilizing the Target Filters need fields beyond standard name and address, Admail also provides optional custom fields and metadata storage.

Data standardization is critical when populating the State and/or a Canadian province field, you must use the standard two-character postal abbreviation. To allow some latitude, wild cards are available as well. For example, if you need to do an SCF select from the zip code, input the first three digits and use the wild card to target everyone in that SCF. Wild cards can be in other fields as well.

This is just a brief overview of this powerful marketing tool. If you need more than 50 Interest Groups, contact customer service and begin learning how to navigate and configure this limitless targeting tool.
